Welcome to RISE!

RISE is a free web application driven by Cavan Solutions' innovative, cloud-based, operational data integration and analysis platform, CavanReports.
RISE's 15-minute updates focus on tactical deviations at KATL, KDEN, KDFW, KJFK, and KORD derived from our value-added metrics. Check out the Examples and RISE User Guide for additional information.

RISE User Guide

The RISE Tactical Deviation Summary provides an aggregated view of tactical deviations over the last 6 hours at 5 airports. The airport with the highest total count of deviations is the "Focus Airport" for the remaining displays:
  • The bar chart (top center) shows counts of arrivals and tactical deviations over the last 6 hours in 15-minute increments. Mouse over the bars to see specific data values. Click on the individual legend items to toggle the various metrics.
  • The map (bottom center) is an integrated display of flown trajectories, circular holding (pink regions), and missed approaches (orange regions) for "Focus Airport" arrivals and diversions that landed during the last 15 minutes. The flights and weather overlay can be animated using the controls (play/pause/speed) at the bottom of the map. Flight data tags show the aircraft callsign, aircraft type, altitude (100s of ft), and groundspeed (10s of kts). The map can be zoomed in (+) and out (-).
  • Current conditions at the Focus Airport (upper right): Traffic Management Initiatives (TMIs), METAR weather observations, and the Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS) and Time-Based Flow Management (TBFM) reported configuration information.
  • The time series charts (bottom left) show value-added metrics including airspeed, headwind/tailwind, groundspeed, and altitude for a selected flight. Select a flight by clicking on an individual track on the map. Move the mouse over the time series chart to see the positions synchronized on the map.
